I wanted to wait 3 months after receiving my tiny house to write a review so I could live in it and give my honest feedback. I had been looking to buy a tiny home for years, even staying in different Airbnb’s to get a feel of what I wanted in my own. I came up with some non-negotiables for myself such as; stairs instead of a ladder, a fully flushable residential toilet, a non-plastic/tiled shower that was larger than 36” in length, space for a washer/dryer, space for a full sized refrigerator, and space for my 2 cats to play and to place 2 litter boxes. This is no small task in a tiny home but once I saw the Contemporary X model, I knew it was the one. Due to my quick timeline, I was unable to fully customize my house but Andres worked with me to address what style of hardware I’d like and even adapted the model in a quick turnaround to include pull out drawers in the kitchen, a vent in the bathroom, and a screen for the kitchen window (highly recommended!). Once I moved in, I had difficulty setting up utilities and the septic system so Andres personally drove from Austin to Dallas to assist and when my mini split AC system and hot water heater both started acting up, he promptly hired local help to fix both issues. It took a few weeks and some residual drywall damage but Andres hired more help to fix the drywall and repaint the exterior of my home since the first white coat was more so transparent in the direct sunlight. He is a stand up business man and the more I’ve stayed in this house, the more I’ve been able to customize it and make it my own. I am extremely grateful for how many electric plugs there are in the house and the ingenious layout. Every time someone new comes over, they immediately ask to take pictures. If I were to do it over again, I would change the design of the kitchen to include a vent hood, cabinets/shelving on the walls, a waterproof backsplash, and a different countertop. Additionally, I would replace my bathroom vanity to include drawers. If you are thinking about getting a tiny house, I cannot recommend Tiny Homes ATX with Andres enough - I just also recommend testing out different tiny homes and being aware of how you currently move in your space before pulling the trigger on a customized home.
